Welcome to Daughters of The King!

🌸 Heyyyy! Welcome to Daughters of the King! 🌸

If you’re here, you’ve clicked on our blog—and let’s be real, you probably have no idea what’s going on. (Totally fair, we’ll explain!)

This is a space for you—a Christian blog designed for teen girls and young women who are on a faith journey. Maybe you’re just starting out, maybe you’ve been walking this road for years, or maybe you’ve never even heard of Christianity and just stumbled here by accident.

Our goal? To share advice, devotionals, prayers, and encouragement for wherever you are in your faith.

Now, let’s get real for a sec. We don’t have all the answers, and we’re not here to pretend we do. We’re not the perfect Christian (spoiler: nobody is!), and I’m still figuring things out myself. So, if you’re looking for perfect people with perfect advice… uh, you might wanna check somewhere else. 😂(Btw: we are pretty funny but it won’t get to weird around here we are serious about our faith)

But here’s the good news: you don’t have to do this journey alone. And (que dramatic music) this is where you meet us:

Hi my name is Heidi. I am a young teen who recently came to faith this year. I come from a christian family of missionaries- so yes I lived overseas for a lot of my life. Sometimes it was hard and I struggled. But this year- I came to faith through a youth camp and gave myself to the lord. I later got baptised. It hasn't been an easy road since then… but when I look back on last year I see how God has been with me. These past few months I’ve been getting multiple signs from God that I need to start doing more actions and less words… I prayed to him about it and now look where we are! Starting a wonderful blog! I also am the oldest child in my family and I wish a lot for christian advice from people who have recently or are teenagers-like an older sister- and so I want to bless others.

I love reading and writing- especially poetry. I’m not very sporty but I love outdoor ed- and seeing God’s wonderful creation. I also love the arts and acting- there’s something about creating and designing or convincing someone I’m someone I’m someone else- (but I’m still not the best at it..) As well as technology. Sometimes it annoys me when I’m not the best at something.. Which happens a lot… but I have to remind myself that God has a plan for me.

I met Joy at school and when she moved away I found it a bit hard… She is full of humour and I’m full of sensibility and we balance each other really well.

The reason we thought about this blog: Highschool can be hard. We’ve got that covered so far. High School is full of hidden insecurities and pretending to be someone else and sometimes it can just get too much. Honestly I can’t wait until I’m out of school and I can pursue my dreams of going into politics or being a makeup artist. But, girl, high school to, if you let it can be a really fun experience! It can be filled with friendship and happy times and we are doing this blog to encourage and help you through your days of school or even if your a young adult, work. And how to truly be a daughter of the king.

Heyyy! 👋 My name is Joy! 🌟

Let’s start with the essentials: I’m obsessed with triangles (yes, the shape), cheese (because, duh 🧀), and the number 41 (don’t ask, it’s just the vibe 🎉). I’m a teenager who will still be one on my birthday—shocking, I know. I love traveling ✈️, writing ✍️, and living life as one big adventure. 🌍

No but seriously, I come from a family who loves God 🙏, and I move around a lot 🌎, which can be hard 😅, but it also means I can meet a bunch of new people and make friends all over the world. 🌟 Sometimes it’s hard, but I’ve learned to take the good with the bad. 💕 Sometimes missing people is good. It means you’ve loved them a bunch. ❤️

Looking back, I never imagined I’d be the girl I am today. ✨ My life has been a wild ride of roller coasters 🎢 and traffic lights 🚦—full of twists, turns, and unexpected stops. God has given me dreams 🌈 and signs ✨ to help me make important life-changing decisions. Sometimes what is happening now might make you sad 😥, but when you look back, you realize that God did that for a reason 🙌, and God removed this person for my good, etc.

Let me keep it real: being a Christian isn’t easy 😅, but is it worth it? 100%. ✅ So, buckle up, keep your arms inside the ride at all times , and enjoy the journey—the messy, the hard, and the fun. 😄 God’s got a plan, and the best part? He’ll never leave your side. 💕

Love always,
Joy 💖 (Emoji overkill 😂)
