As Daughters of the King, we get to experience God’s love and we get to be part of a large and loving community filled with people who will be there for you. We get to be close to God and talk to him, all because of what Jesus did on the cross. But there are many other men and women out there who don’t get to experience this with God. Don’t get me wrong, I love being a christian and being in a close relationship with God, but imagine how fun it would be if everyone had access to the Gospel. There are many ways that you can help your friends, family and even your BF, (if you have one) become Children of the King. 🌸
#1 How to preach the Gospel
In 1 Peter 3:15-16 NIV it says:
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,
keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behaviour in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.
But what does this mean? Whenever you use the belt of truth (one of the Armour of God, check out Ephesians)
People won’t always want to listen, they’ll have other ideas and they’ll turn away from the shining truth of your preaching.
As a Christian, they think you believe in a man who faked a death and then ‘rose again’ and people made a right old fuss.
But if you put it in a different way to them, ‘this man’ rose from the dead because he loves us. He died so we could live in heaven with him for all eternity. For a man who existed 2,000 years ago, people have been dying for him even for ages after his death! They wouldn’t die for him for no reason. They wouldn’t separate time with BC (before Christ) and AC (after christ) if he wasn’t the real thing. And when he rose again he had the nail holes in his hand as proof. Only God/Jesus could conquer death!
The way to preach is to tell them the truth, with respect for their lifestyle and for their religion. To be gentle and be there for them. To show them that Christians aren’t a judgemental group and we are all struggling. A lot of people believe that if we are Christians we have to follow all of these rules and are lives are black and white… no grey bits to be seen. But what they don’t understand is that there is a certain balance. One called “legalism” and another called “obeying” But that means alot of non christians call us “Boring or dull.” Sure, we may not agree with LGBTIQA+ or other religions or atheists, but they are still humans and in John 13: 34-35 Jesus says:
Love each other just as much as I have loved you. For when you demonstrate the same love I have for you by loving one another everybody will know that you're my true followers.
The way to share the good news of Jesus is a mixture of empathy, passion and the truth. You will need to stand firm in your belief and not be shaken or scared. And just tell them the plain old truth.
2. Go tell it on the mountain…
Have you ever heard the song "Go Tell It on the Mountain?" If not… go search it up! It’s a bit childish, sure, but it perfectly captures the heart of what we’re talking about today! The song is all about spreading the good news of Jesus, telling the world about His love, His sacrifice, and His victory over sin. And guess what? That’s exactly what we are called to do as Christians!
In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus gives His disciples the Great Commission:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Jesus didn’t just come to save a select few—He came for everyone. And after His resurrection, He told His followers to go and share this incredible truth with the world. He didn’t say, "Keep it to yourselves," or "Only tell people who already believe." No, He said, "Go!" That means stepping outside our comfort zones, sharing our faith with those around us, and living in a way that reflects His love.
Think about the shepherds in Luke 2:17-18. After they saw baby Jesus, they couldn’t keep the news to themselves. They ran to tell everyone about what they had witnessed! In the same way, we are called to share the gospel—not just with words, but with our actions, our kindness, and the way we treat others.
When Jesus died, the disciples were devastated, thinking all hope was lost. But three days later, He rose again, proving that death had no power over Him. This was the greatest news ever—the kind of news that changes lives. And that’s why we’re called to share it, just like the song says:
"Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere!"
So, how can we live this out in our daily lives? Maybe it’s through encouraging a friend who is struggling, standing firm in your faith even when it’s not popular, or simply showing love to someone who needs it. You don’t have to be a pastor or a missionary to spread the gospel—you just have to be willing to shine your light wherever God has placed you.
Because when we truly understand what Jesus has done for us, how can we not go and tell the world?
3. Hold your head up high
When going out and sharing the gospel don’t look ashamed or act like a hypocrite. People should be able to see Jesus shine bright through you! So remember to go out there with confidence and brandish God’s word. You are a girl of God and he died for us so we don’t have to have eternal separation from him. We want everyone we can to love God and not have to go to HELL. Because believe me- Hell isn’t a woman wearing horns and dancing around- it’s a cold, dark and lonely place.
So when people see you- show them who Christians are- do what Jesus would do… love. No matter what. Then people will see us as nice and good people who are willing to listen.
Never criticize or judge, just listen and direct them in the right path.
#4… You don’t have to do this alone
Right now it may feel like you are the only one out there spreading the good news- maybe the only one in your school, or workplace. And you might be. And that's OK. The truth is you are not alone. There are many Christians out there right now trying to tell people about Jesus. So reach out! Jesus never intended us to walk this path alone. Feel free to reach out to us, for prayer or anything.
I hope y'all have an awesome week 🙂
-Heidi.
